Much has been said since the November 2, 2010 election about establishment Republicans co-opting Senators and Representatives elected with Tea Party support. What establishment Republicans fail to understand is, all Republicans elected on November 2, 2010 owe a big thank you to the Tea Party.
In America’s recent past, there’s been recognition of a fabled “Silent Majority”. What establishment Republicans are now apparently unable to recognize is, the Tea Party IS the “Silent Majority”.
Despite the best efforts of an obviously “progressive” mainstream media to promote a painfully misguided narrative that the Tea Party is populated by uneducated, violent, extreme, racist hicks, the truth of the matter is Tea Party goers are normal, everyday Americans who’re alarmed at America’s rapid acceleration towards big government.
Big government, including: massive new deficit spending, a rapid and alarming expansion in the number of government departments/employees, and ignoring the looming costs of unfunded social entitlement programs, all leading to an eventual need for much higher taxes. This is only a partial list of grievances.
As the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, adopted on 12/15/1791 states: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” The Tea Party (formerly known as the “Silent Majority”) are simply concerned American citizens exercising their Constitutional right to peaceably assemble and petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
That the Republicans were swept into a large number of offices at the expense of Democrats is a direct result of their inability to understand that the “Silent Majority” is unhappy with the fringe radical leftist big government agenda as legislated by the likes of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, et al and signed into law by the current White House occupant. It’s not that “progressives” need to explain their actions more clearly so Americans understand them. Americans understands the agenda and they don’t want it.
Earth to the Democratic Party and their media outlets (aka the mainstream media, more accurately described as the Democratic Party Pravda): The Tea Party is not violent or racist. It’s just that the “Silent Majority” is no longer silent.
Now what of mice and men…and rats?
In plain spoken, politically incorrect English, the men are the Tea Party. They’re the ones who’ve acted, gotten off the couch and taken to the streets, awakening their American brethren to the danger that’s afoot; the danger of losing our Constitutional Republic to a political system that rewards an “entitled” governing class of “educated elites” at the expense of everyday Americans.
The rats are the “progressive” Democrats, who see the U.S. Constitution and America’s free market enterprise system as the greatest roadblock to a New World Order.
The biggest rat is George Soros, who’s spent untold millions of his ill-gotten fortune funding such anti-American foundations as: the Open Society Institute, Human Rights Watch, the Shadow Democratic Party, Air America Radio (Now defunct, this was a self-identified “liberal” radio network), Alliance for Justice (Best known for its activism vis a vis the appointment of federal judges, this group consistently depicts Republican judicial nominees as “extremists”), America Coming Together (Soros played a major role in creating this group, whose purpose was to coordinate and organize pro-Democrat voter-mobilization programs), America Votes (Soros also played a major role in creating this group, whose get-out-the-vote campaigns targeted likely Democratic voters), America’s Voice (This open-borders group seeks to promote “comprehensive” immigration reform that includes a robust agenda in favor of amnesty for illegal aliens), American Bar Association Commission on Immigration Policy (This organization “opposes laws that require employers and persons providing education, health care, or other social services to verify citizenship or immigration status”), American Civil Liberties Union (This group opposes virtually all post-9/11 national security measures enacted by the U.S. government. It supports open borders, has rushed to the defense of suspected terrorists and their abettors, and appointed former New Left terrorist Bernardine Dohrn to its Advisory Board), American Constitution Society for Law and Policy (This Washington, DC-based think tank seeks to move American jurisprudence to the left by recruiting, indoctrinating, and mobilizing young law students, helping them acquire positions of power. It also provides leftist Democrats with a bully pulpit from which to denounce their political adversaries), American Family Voices (This group creates and coordinates media campaigns charging Republicans with wrongdoing), American Federation of Teachers (After longtime AFT President Albert Shanker died in in 1997, he was succeeded by Sandra Feldman, who slowly “re-branded” the union, allying it with some of the most powerful left-wing elements of the New Labor Movement. When Feldman died in 2004, Edward McElroy took her place, followed by Randi Weingarten in 2008. All of them kept the union on the leftward course it had adopted in its post-Shanker period), American Friends Service Committee (This group views the United States as the principal cause of human suffering around the world. As such, it favors America’s unilateral disarmament, the dissolution of American borders, amnesty for illegal aliens, the abolition of the death penalty, and the repeal of the Patriot Act), American Immigration Council (This non-profit organization is a prominent member of the open-borders lobby. It advocates expanded rights and amnesty for illegal aliens residing in the U.S.), American Immigration Law Foundation (This group supports amnesty for illegal aliens, on whose behalf it litigates against the U.S. government), American Institute for Social Justice (AISJ’s goal is to produce skilled community organizers who can “transform poor communities” by agitating for increased government spending on city services, drug interdiction, crime prevention, housing, public-sector jobs, access to healthcare, and public schools).
This is only a tiny few of the Soros funded foundations. A much more comprehensive list can be found here:
The mice are establishment Republicans who seek to maintain the status quo. This is a group of people who have a vested interest in keeping things the way they are because they’re profiting from the problem. For so long as they get their seat at the table, they’ll be willing to compromise with “progressives”. While open dialogue, communication and cooperation, urgently required to solve America’s challenges are welcome, there can be no compromise with people who see the U.S. Constitution and America’s free market enterprise system as the greatest roadblock to a New World Order.
Earth to establishment Republicans: You’re a part of the governing class. Any and all attempts you make to continue your grasp on power, at the expense of We The People, will be noticed as much as attempts by “progressives”. The Tea Party spoke on November 2, 2010. Don’t think for a minute that they won’t be ready to speak again in 2012 and beyond.
