The White House’s Health Care Summit

The Associated Press begins their report on this story thusly:

WASHINGTON – Could this turn into something more than political theater? President Barack Obama’s televised dialogue with Republican lawmakers on health care, promised for later this month, has the makings of an entertaining exchange. But the differences between the basic Democratic and GOP ideas are stark — and the two sides have increasingly hardened their positions in this election year.

How would AP, as part of the fringe left media, aka the Democratic Party Pravda, know the differences between GOP and  Democratic ideas?

So far, the “negotiations” on health care “reform” have been conducted by Democrats…especially regressive socialist Democrats.  All attempts to reconcile differences between the House and Senate bills have been conducted behind closed doors, to the exclusion of all but the most regressive of the regressive and the most socialist of the socialist.  Since day one, they’ve intentionally excluded Republicans from the conversation.  The few times that the bills have been to the open floor for debate, each and every Republican amendment has been voted down along straight Party lines.  Regressive socialists have repeatedly and consistently made proclamations about how the GOP has offered no ideas, and that the GOP’s sole contribution to the process has been to follow a path of obstruction.

Anyone who’s familiar with basic math can see that the Republicans were at such a numerical disadvantage im both the House and the Senate that alone, they were powerless to stop the regressive socialist’s agenda.

Enter: We The People.  The Tea Parties.  The Townhall attendees.  Then, our trips to the ballot box.

Now, after a string of stinging political defeats, the White House occupant decides to show interest in Republican ideas?  I don’t think so.  He knows no consensus will be reached.  Who is he trying to kid?

This is yet another feint by a basketball player who fakes right before going hard left.  There’s absolutely nothing in his background that indicates even a modicum of centrality.

This is posturing, pure and simple.  After a “breakdown of negotiation” with “inflexible obstructionists”, regressive socialists will resume their attacks, based on falsehood, upon the GOP.  The only difference will be that they’ll cloak themselves in the robe of “we tried unsuccessfully to reach out to them” victimhood.

As always AP, along with the other members of the fringe left media, will take the lies and repeat them ad naseum.

Remember this the next time you step into a voting booth.

The problem with this country is BOTH the Democrats and Republicans. Anyone who seriously thinks that one side isn’t corrupt or slaves to Corporate America hasn’t done an adequate job of paying attention. To the Republicans: The GW administration will go down in History as one of the worst administrations. They eroded your constitutional rights, expanded the power of the wealthy elite, invaded countries under false pretenses, destroyed diplomatic relations with the rest of the world, and spent money like it was going out of style. To the Democrats: Obama is a dud. He promised much and has turned out to be another corporate lackey. He made deals with big pharma to ensure you could not get your medication cheaper elsewhere, he flip flopped on military tribunals, he refuses to fix health care properly through nationalization or single payer, he populates his inner circle with more Wall Street insiders, he spends money on bailouts and useless stimulus packages.

It’s always so revealing to hear from someone who’s even farther left than the traitors running the country today.
