The Economic Justice Lie

August 3, 2012

For years, the current White House occupant has foisted the concept that more affluent Americans do not pay their fair share of taxes.  That may make for an effectively memorable campaign stump slogan, but as is so often the case with the “progressive” Democrat’s reelection campaign statements, the rhetoric does not align itself with reality.  The top five percent of American wage earners pay forty seven percent of revenues collected by the IRS.  The top ten percent pay seventy percent of all IRS revenues.  Meanwhile, forty seven percent of the population pays zero income tax.  In fact, a large number of that forty seven percent actually reap the benefits of “progressive” big government largesse while paying nothing.

In a country long admired for its diligent protection of free speech it should be possible to logically discuss the plethora of clearly unconstitutional, vastly unpopular, criminally coerced, bribery stuffed, intimidation filled, votes bought, deals made and paid for legislation that amounts to an unmitigated assault upon American traditions, values and a way of life based on freedom of choice and individual liberty.  Given that anyone willing to speak against the institutionalized “progressive” leftist agenda is smeared, attacked, blocked on social media or otherwise suppressed, perhaps not.

But whether you look at the nationalization of American banks, the takeover of the U.S. auto industry, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (also known to the Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court as a tax), the takeover of the college student loan industry, draconian EPA regulations or Cap and Trade initiatives, it all boils down to two words: “Economic justice.”

Does anyone in their right mind believe that the current radical fringe leftist “progressive” filled government is not playing favorites with student loan applications or will not play favorites with healthcare procedures and coverage?  Does anyone honestly believe that the current “progressive” Executive Branch will not continue to over-reach for power via Executive Order or through their appointments to the unelected, unaccountable regulatory bureaucracy?

Can you say reparations?  Can you say class warfare?  Can you say unable to run for reelection on their record?

Let the current Oval Office occupier in thief tell you in his own words:

  • “One of the tragedies of the civil rights movement was that the civil rights movement became so court focused, I think, there was a tendency to lose track of the political and organizing activities on the ground that are able to bring about the coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change.”

That is Marxism, plain and simple.  But “progressives” know full well that the majority of Americans would never accept Marxism, Socialism or Communism if they were honest about their agenda.  Americans are equally unlikely to accept redistribution of wealth at face value.  Witness the public outcry that followed the occupier’s now infamous 2008 campaign encounter with “Joe the plumber”.

What is a “progressive” Marxist to do?

Make the Marxist agenda sound like a moral issue to which good, God fearing, charitable Americans will subscribe.  Just like magic Marxism, Socialism, Communism and redistribution of wealth becomes “economic justice”.

Do not fall for persistent fringe left “progressive” attempts to redefine language through the smoke and mirror tricks of political correctness.  DO NOT BE FOOLED.

“Economic justice” = Forced redistribution of wealth, with hostility towards individual property rights, cloaked in a veneer of morality.

Where the majority of Americans are from, that is known as lying, cheating and stealing.

Before the Dawn

July 27, 2012

A national poll showing a 59/35 percent disapproval rating demonstrates how declining confidence in American economic performance has led business owners to turn on the White House.  With the Oval Office insisting that the country cannot afford to continue the current tax rates for individuals making over $200,000 and couples making more than $250,000, aka the Bush tax cuts for the rich, it is not surprising that investor confidence is lagging.  Evidence indicates that the White House and their “progressive” allies have been repeatedly assailing small business owners, not “standing behind them” as their campaign rhetoric now insists.

Attacks originating from the White House such as the “You didn’t build that” remark are certainly not instilling confidence among entrepreneurs.  2010 Census figures reveal that from 2008-2010 200,000 small businesses shut their doors.  Three million jobs were lost when those companies closed up shop.

Americans cut spending as U.S. economic growth from April through June slowed to a crawl at an annual rate of 1.5 percent.  The slowdown indicates that the economy may be stalling three years into a sluggish, mostly jobless recovery that began when the last recession technically ended.

A growth rate of 2 percent or less does nothing to lower unemployment rates, which remained stuck at 8.2 percent last month.  According to most economic experts, growth is not expected to increase much in the second half of 2012, spurring fears of another recession.  Few economists believe the U.S. economy will strengthen anytime soon.

A less than glowing corporate earnings report, continued financial troubles in Europe and a looming budget crisis in the U.S. are all expected to contribute to further reductions in business investment and contribute to a possible economic downturn.

Drawing upon his business experience, presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney has plans to restore jobs in America within the private sector.  He is in favor of increased domestic energy production, a policy that will stimulate economic growth and reduce energy costs for all Americans.  Romney also favors taking a stronger stance towards China on matters of trade and currency manipulation.  He has repeatedly pledged to repeal and replace obamatax, also known by the misnomer: The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act; a reversal of that policy will disperse the clouds of doubt and uncertainty currently inhibiting job creation, business growth and capital investment.

With a successful businessman in the White House and a legislature composed of business friendly Representatives and Senators, prospects for an American economic recovery will brighten immediately.  Investors in America and especially Europe, where socialist tax assaults continue, will once again be inclined and incentivized to invest in America.

If you are one of the millions of American workers who have suffered long term unemployment or underemployment as a result of the failed “progressive” economic policies of the current administration and its “progressive” cohorts take heart, the first rays of the new dawn are just over the horizon.

These Numbers Do Not Lie

July 9, 2012

In each of the States that elected Republican governors during the Tea Party dominated 2010 midterm elections, unemployment rates have gone down. According to an Examiner.com analysis, since Tea Party Republicans took over in January 2011, the average reduction in unemployment for those 17 States has been 1.35%.  When compared nationally, job creation in those States has been 50% better than the rest of the country.

The unemployment rate in States that elected “progressive” Democrats in 2010 saw a drop in rates matching the .9% national rate of decline.  In one of these “progressive” run States the unemployment rate actually went up, not down: New York – 8.2% to 8.6% = an increase of 0.4%.

  • Witness how unemployment rates have been reduced in the 17 States that elected fiscally Conservative governors back in 2010: Michigan -2.4%, Florida -2.3%, Nevada -2.2%, Alabama -1.9%, Ohio -1.7%, Tennessee -1.6%, South Carolina -1.5%, Georgia -1.2%, Wyoming -1.1%, Iowa -1.0%, New Mexico -1.0%, Wisconsin -0.9%, Kansas -0.8%, South Dakota -0.7%, Maine -0.6%, Pennsylvania -0.6%.

This is another substantiated example of how, when compared to fiscally Conservative Tea Party solutions, “progressive” economic policies fall short.  It also blows a gigantic hole in the “we’re making progress but can’t go back to policies that caused our economic problems” talking point “progressives” insist on repeating ad nauseam.

http://www.examiner.com/article/new-republican-governors-rapidly-bringing-down-unemployment-their-states

What this also indicates is that the real problem in America is “progressive” ideas, which have been being imported into the United States from Europe since the early 20th century.  Since then, America hostile “progressive” ideas have managed to infiltrate and infest both of America’s major political Parties.

The Republican vs. Democrat political paradigm is obsolete.  This is especially true where economic policies and government power are concerned. To more accurately describe the philosophical divide in today’s political landscape, think Americans vs. “progressives”.

It should be noted, “progressives” easily occupy a space within the “globalist” category.  Globalism is a clear and present danger to the very concept of national sovereignty; any nation’s national sovereignty.  Be assured that United States sovereignty is definitely being targeted.  “progressives” are eagerly playing a large part in this.

http://www.americanfreedomalliance.org/microsite/global-governance/program.htm

Americans want the United States to follow the Constitution, which limits the size, scope, reach and power of the central government to that prescribed by the Constitution.  “progressives” wish to “evolve” beyond America’s foundation document, favoring a central government that usurps the maximum amount of power possible from the States and from the people.

Although many Americans supported the invasion of Iraq and George W. Bush’s strong backing of the U.S. military, a careful examination of his Presidency shows that Bush increased the size and cost of the federal government.  He created the DHS, a large, expensive and essentially unnecessary Cabinet level bureaucracy.  If the underlying cause of the 9/11 terrorist attacks was the FBI and the CIA not sharing information, that could have been rectified with the proper use of an Executive Order directing the two intelligence agencies to share pertinent data.  Bush also greatly expanded the size, cost and presence of the TSA.  Remember that the next time your 87 year old grandmother or 4 year old niece is being openly groped by an overly-controlling faux uniformed union member who will be practically impossible to fire.  Bush worked with a Republican majority Legislature to enact Medicare part D, which imposed the financial burden onto the States.  Near the end of his Presidency he and his Goldman Sachs Treasurer promoted TARP, which put taxpayers on the hook to the tune of $700 billion.  He then used some of that money when the Feds bailed out GM and Chrysler.  While it can be argued that GMAC was a financial institute and therefore qualified for funds, there was no such justification for bailing out Chrysler. Not to mention adding $5 trillion to the national debt and nominating the current Supreme Court Chief Justice, who recently sided with “progressives” in preserving the biggest farthest reaching government power grab in U.S. history: the obama”care”tax.

Like it or not, it is a defensible position to say that the results of George W. Bush’s presidency indicate that in many instances he acted as a “progressive” Republican.

The chief discernible distinction between “progressive” Democrats and “progressive” Republicans is the rate at which government grows.

The government of the United States needs to shrink, not grow.  Europe has been growing their governments for decades.  That is one of the major reasons why their economies are failing.   “progressives” are trying to make America more and more like Europe.  Increasing government spending while expanding the size and scope of government bureaucracies and increasing the people’s dependency on government is not the way to fix a problem caused by big government spending, bloated bureaucracies and government dependency.

The last time America had an anything like an American president was when Ronald Reagan presided over the Oval Office.  Under the influence of the anti-American “progressive” economic policies of barrack obama, America’s GDP growth is currently 1.9%.  At this point in his first term, under the influence of Reagan’s pro-American economic policies, America’s GDP growth was 7.2%.

Unlike the passionately emotional “pay their fair share” argument used by “progressives”, the more dispassionate American view of looking at the numbers works.  Numbers do not lie.

For the America envisioned by its founders to survive, “progressives” must be stopped. Forget the (R) and the (D).  These political Party designations are growing increasingly meaningless.  Voters need to realign their thinking and begin voting for Americans and against “progressives”, regardless of Party affiliation.

If “progressives” currently living in America want to live in a European country doomed to economic failure, they can move to Europe.  They would be doing America a great favor.  An even bigger favor would be if they sent disenfranchised Europeans who want to live the American way to the United States.  America would definitely benefit from that exchange.

Don’t Be Stupid, It’s Still the Economy

July 3, 2012

The United States Supreme Court has ruled.  The obama”care”tax is Constitutional.

Of course, that depends on what your definition of tax is.

Institutionalized “progressive” leftists in the “mainstream” media have mockingly praised the majority opinion of swing vote Chief Justice Roberts.  Conservatives have expressed scorn for Roberts over the decision.  How long will it be before there are calls to water board Roberts until he confesses to committing high crimes and misdemeanors, to be locked away indefinitely without trial in Guantanamo Bay?

Several weeks ago, Mitt Romney said: “It’s still the economy, and we’re not stupid.”  Then, after the Supreme Court handed his campaign a trillion pound sledgehammer with which to beat obama in the presidential race, Romney adviser Eric “Etch-A-Sketch” Fehrnstrom agreed with the obama administration on national television that the individual mandate in obama”care”tax is not a tax.

Cue the flashback of John McCain’s refusal to use Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Louis Farrakhan, Tony Rezko, Frank Marshall Davis and the highly questionable character of obama and his associations as a campaign issue in 2008.

Can you say pretty stupid?

In response, Conservatives demand that if Romney refuses to fight against the obama”care”tax he should quit the race.  Romney can no longer engage in that fight.  Romney’s campaign has managed to completely mishandle a gift handed to them on a silver platter by the Supreme Court.

That being said, there will be time to discuss the relative merits and pitfalls of the obama”care”tax ruling and Romney’s reaction after the election.  The mistakes of Roberts and Fehrnstrom have been made.  It is time to move on to what really matters to American voters.  The strategy must now be for the GOP presidential candidate to switch focus from the obama”care”tax controversy to America’s tepid economic recovery.

Recent official figures show that the U.S. economy grew by 1.9 percent in the first quarter of 2012, less than the 2.2 percent originally reported.  According to the annual report from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), this year’s growth forecast for the U.S. economy has been lowered to 2 percent.  The IMF also lowered its forecast for 2013 from 2.4 percent to 2.25 percent.  It also warned of the fiscal cliff known as taxmageddon, the $4 trillion tax increases and defense spending cuts that are due at the end of 2012.

The U.S. Gross Domestic Product growth rate in the first three months was slower than originally announced.  This news was accompanied by a downward revision in consumer spending.  After-tax corporate profits experienced their biggest fall since the last three months of 2008.

Meanwhile, U.S. employment rose only slightly in April.  The Labor Department reported claims for jobless benefits were higher last week, suggesting a slowdown in job creation

US retail sales fell for the second straight month in May, indicating that growth in the economy is still sluggish.  According to the U.S. Commerce Department, retail sales fell by 0.2 percent.

The Institute for Supply Management said Monday that U.S. manufacturing shrank in June for the first time in nearly three years.  The manufacturing activity index fell from 53.5 percent to 49.7 percent, the lowest reading since July 2009.  Readings below 50 indicate contraction.

The Federal Reserve cut its forecast for growth to just 1.9 percent to 2.4 percent for 2012. That’s half a percentage point lower than April’s estimate.

With facts and figures like these, it is time for the GOP to go aggressively back on the offensive against the failed economic policies of the current administration.  That the economy is tanking and employment prospects remain grim need not be explained to voters living that reality.

Give no quarter to the “progressive” campaign.  Do not let them off the mat.  While they are down, kick them as hard and as long as possible.  Rest assured, given half a chance, “progressives” kick with glee…without hesitation.

The survival of America and the principles upon which it was founded are facing an existential threat.  Don’t be stupid.

obamacare: Tip of the Iceberg

June 29, 2012

Since the ruling by the United States Supreme Court on Thursday, June 28, 2012, the big news in America has been how the obama administration, then Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid misrepresented the legislation to Congress, the Senate and the public.

It was consistently presented as a cost saving measure that would reduce the size of U.S. national deficits, thus helping pay down the debt, while improving the quality and lowering the costs of healthcare. Insurance premiums would be reduced.  It would provide coverage for uninsured millions.  If you liked the doctor and healthcare plan you had, you would be able to keep them.

Regrettably for American Citizens, with the exception of covering additional people, none of the rest was ever true.  It will add to the deficit and to the debt.  The quality and availability of healthcare will go down.  Existing doctors will retire and fewer prospective doctors will enter medical practice since the rewards will be outstripped by the costs of a medical education.  Insurance premiums have been will continue to rise, leading employers to drop coverage for employees, thereby adding to the likelihood that both your doctor and your plan will change.

It was never explained how a system cited as being too expensive was going to fund a new federal bureaucracy, start covering more people with the same number of facilities and personnel at a lower cost, while saving the nation trillions of dollars.

Now, we have know.  obama, Pelosi, Reid and company all lied.

Especially obama, who repeatedly pledged to Americans making less than $250,000 that their taxes would never go up.  Not their income tax, not their payroll tax, not their capital gains tax.  None of those taxes would go up, not by one single dime, ever.

The truth is revealed: obamacare: Seven New Taxes on Citizens Earning Less than $250,000

It doesn’t stop there.  Attacks have been made on religious liberties. See healthcare mandate on contraception in religious affiliated institutions:

There have been assaults on freedom of the press. See White House and Media Matters coordinate attacks on FOX News:

Egregious though these examples may be, in the big picture they are only the tip of the iceberg.

•He has violated the individual liberties of all Americans by imposing forced participation in a government healthcare regulatory system without their consent.

•He has collaborated with his Attorney General to ignore equal protection under the law in favor of selective protections based upon arbitrary factors.

•He has violated American bankruptcy laws by willfully denying secured bond holders first payment, in favor of unsecured political supporters.

•He has violated the Constitution by accepting the position of Chairmanship of the UN Security Council.

•He has ignored the Constitutional separation of power by appointing “czars” to oversee matters that are intended to be handled by the legislative branch of the government.

•He has violated the First Amendment right to freedom of the press, by attacking television and radio networks, stations and broadcasters while attempting censorship.

•He has violated the individual’s right to free speech through creation of an email address to report Citizens in a blatant attempt to silence dissent through intimidation.

•He has violated the Law by ignoring the War Powers Act and engaging the United States military in overseas hostilities without the consent of Congress.

•He has violated the First Amendment by attempting to impose restrictions on free speech through implementation of Net Neutrality by the FCC.

•He has endeavored to interfere in the free market through the imposition of The Clean Energy and Security Act, which mandates carbon emissions be reduced to 17 percent below 2005 levels by 2020, 42 percent by 2030, and 84 percent by 2050. By 2020, this tax will extract an estimated $160 billion from the economy, or an average $1,870 per family.

•He has violated the Constitution by having the government offer $4,500 rebates to people for turning in older motor vehicles for newer vehicles

•He has interfered in America’s free market by having the National Labor Relations Board sue a privately owned company for planning to open for business in a State that protects an employee’s ability to work free of forced union membership.

•He has interfered in the free market by imposing restrictions and regulations on petroleum, natural gas and coal production in the United States.

•He has abandoned enforcing the security of American borders and protected illegal immigrants from prosecution for violation of immigration laws:

•He has abandoned and insulted our most enduring and faithful allies through speech and action, the most glaring among these being placing the State of Israel on the list of nations that foster terrorism.

•He has sought to impose additional taxes on America without the people’s Consent.

•For depriving American Citizens in some cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury.

•For transferring billions of dollars to enemies of the United States through Foreign Aid.

•For ignoring the Constitutional separation of powers by publicly attacking the Supreme Court of the United States.

•For attacking America’s bedrock family values by ordering the Department of Justice to not defend the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act.

•For repeated attacks upon America’s Christian foundation.

•For repeatedly slandering American Citizens with false accusations of racism, violent tendencies and hatred.

•For grossly accelerating and increasing the amount of America’s debt through passage of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act, which had negligible effect on unemployment, sent billions of dollars overseas and wasted billions domestically by lining the pockets of political cronies while bailing out States guilty of practicing irresponsible budgetary policies.

•For putting America and America’s allies at greater risk through cancellation of missile defense systems.

•For expanding the need for enormous increases in government borrowing,

•For collaborating with his Attorney General to try enemy combatants in civilian Courts.

•For collaborating with his Attorney General and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms in the implementation of operation Fast and Furious, which has been implicated in the murder of American Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

•For devaluing America’s currency by engaging in the practice of Quantitative Easing, allowing the Federal Reserve to purchase trillions of dollars of our national debt.

The list could continue.

A president, whose character is thus marked by acts which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to govern a free people.

Remember.

The Age Old Power Struggle: Chapter 2012

June 25, 2012

A Muslim cleric introduced Egypt’s new President, the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohamed Morsi by saying: Our Capital ‘shall be Jerusalem, Allah willing’.  For his part, Morsi pronounced: Abroad women are ‘free,’ but not here.

These types of proclamations do not bode well for Egyptian minorities, which includes members of the Coptic Church community, who make up about 10 per cent of Egypt’s population. Despite Morsi campaign spokesman Gehad el-Haddad’s assurances that Morsi would work to be “president for all Egyptians”, Coptics worry how Morsi’s election might result in a restriction of their personal freedoms.

Regardless of joyous proclamations by Mosi supporters, the newly elected president did not receive enough support to consider his election a mandate.  Ahmed Shafik, former prime minister under Hosni Mubarak, received 12.3 million. Morsi picked up 13.2 million votes, giving him about 51 per cent of the vote.  A vote as close as this portrays the presence of a divided electorate.

http://www.aljazeera.com/news/middleeast/2012/06/201262412445190400.html

New Democracy (ND) the conservative party edged out the leftist Syriza party, achieving victory in Greece’s parliamentary elections. The winning margin for ND was less than 3 points. In Greece, as in Egypt, the vote was so close it indicates the presence of a divided people.

In France, Socialists won the National Assembly.  Final results showed the Socialist Party won 280 seats.  Two closely allied parties gained 34 seats, giving the Socialist bloc 314 seats.  The leftist Green Party won 17 seats and the far-left Left Front collected 10.  The Socialist Party now enjoys a lock on French politics.

Newly elected President Hollande’s domestic mandate will allow him push back on budget cuts being demanded by Germany.  Greece and other indebted countries say budget cuts are deepening the Eurozone’s recession by suffocating growth.  Clearly, there is division within the European Union.

http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2012/jun/24/eu-france-elections/

Meanwhile in the United States, largely ignoring the historical lessons of American economic success, obama continues to call for bottom up economics.  This not so newly minted campaign tact is but one element of his overall class warfare election strategy.

Desperate for cash to combat GOP candidate Mitt Romney’s growing money juggernaut, obama’s campaign is asking his supporters to tell wedding guests to donate to his campaign rather than give gifts to the newlyweds.  The campaign is also turning to overseas American ex-patriots, seeking cash.

There is a new strategy to inflate the economy on obama’s behalf by Ben Bernanke at the Federal Reserve Bank.  obama and other Democrats are coordinating attacks on Romney with the American media, which completely flies in the face of a free press dutifully reporting facts to the electorate so as to facilitate voters being equipped with the knowledge necessary to make informed political decisions.

Bill Maher, $1 million obama campaign donor and known airwaves extremist, continued to spew hollow, hateful, leftist fringe rhetoric by spouting: Conservatism is not an ideology, ‘It’s just about being a dick’.   Joy Behar, one of Maher’s many fellow “progressive” extremists who populate Hollywood, felt compelled to chime in with “Gay Conservatives only think with their penises”.

Whatever happened to the angst, dismay and regret over harsh partisan rhetoric, so in vogue among “progressives” in the aftermath of the Gabby Gifford shooting?

In light of the Tea Party led midterm election landslide in 2010 and the Tea Party fed Scott Walker victory in Wisconsin’s recall election, it is quite appropriate to observe that, like much of the world, the population of United States is divided.

The division in America is distinctly between those who wish to “fundamentally transform the United States of America” and those who wish to restore the country to its Constitutional roots.

The Constitution established a small government featuring division of powers, protection of individual liberties and fostering a free market economic system uninhibited by the shackles of an overbearing central government.  Since the early 20th Century “progressive” politicians have incrementally increased prohibitive regulatory controls while intruding upon individual liberties by imposing “progressive” taxation used to fuel the growth of big government ”entitlement” programs and bloated federal bureaucracies that far exceed the powers delineated to the federal government by the United States Constitution.

As they participate in Chapter 2012 of the age old power struggle between tyranny and freedom, the choice is clear for American voters.  To further enable unconstitutional usurpation of powers by disciples of Marx and Alinsky wishing to dismantle and eliminate the fundamental political, and socioeconomic structure of the United States, or to elect representatives who will insist upon restoring the Constitutional Republic envisioned by George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Benjamin Franklin and America’s founding patriots.

Adieu France, So Long Stability

June 19, 2012

French Socialist President Francois Hollande’s newly elected government is planning to raise taxes on big companies while deterring businesses from engaging in layoffs by making that process more costly.

Hoping to nudge companies into investing rather than paying profits to shareholders, the government plans to impose a new 3% tax on dividends. Other plans include raising levies on capital gains, a special tax on banks and on energy companies, as well as imposition of government policies requiring the sale of profitable businesses in lieu of closure.

France’s Socialist government will dictate that it is illegal for a profitable, privately owned business to close its own doors.

So much for having the French people engaged in business activity.  This less business-friendly government is going about the business of smothering France’s economy.

The prospects of trying to do business in France’s new economic environment resulted in margins tumbling, cash flow dwindling and orders collapsing. The uncertain outlook has postponed or cancelled investment and hiring.

Medef President Laurence Parisot told a news conference “The first source of financing for companies’ projects comes from private investors. Increasing tax on dividends runs the risk that private investors either invest less or elsewhere. We’ve had many meetings with the staff in ministries to explain what’s happening, but we are becoming deeply distressed. We fear a systematic strangling. Let’s be careful not to transform our country into a super-rigid enclave completely out of touch with the functioning of market economies as found everywhere else.” Parisot said.

Statistical data from the INSEE agency shows that business confidence fell in June to the lowest level since 2009, when France’s economy first showed signs of emerging from the nation’s worst post-war recession.

Hollande was elected last month after pledging to fight unemployment and revive growth. What he and his government are planning is not the way to go about achieving those goals. Attempting to resolve an economic dilemma that nanny state entitlement spending caused by destroying the tax base through imposition of business strangling regulations and taxes, while increasing the amount of spending done on entitlement programs is like trying to get a drunk sober by giving him a case of champagne. It’s going to have an effect opposite to the one desired. It is only going to make matters worse

The way to balance a government budget is to stimulate private sector economic growth. That is what creates the tax base required to fund the government. Making it more difficult and more expensive to conduct business in the private sector is counter-productive to balancing any government budget.

By following economic policies similar to those Hollande plans for France, the United States is currently experiencing 1.8% economic growth. At this same point in President Ronald Reagan’s first term in office, his economic policies had stimulated the private sector U.S. economy to a 7.2% growth rate.

Can you say duh?

Both America and France could learn a thing or two from the economic policies of Ronald Reagan. In the case of the current White House occupant, that does not include hollow, unfounded, meaningless claims that you are much like President Reagan. It makes no difference whether those claims are made by you or your eager, obedient lapdogs in the institutionalized “progressive” left’s smear machine, referred to by your dumbed down, ill informed “progressive” congregation as the mainstream media.

France has the second biggest economy in the European Union. If this is the best the French can come up with, it is time to bid adieu to France and to European Union stability.

Fundraise and Fore: obama’s Answer to World Events

June 18, 2012

Israel issued warnings over security problems with Egypt. Militants from the Sinai Peninsula crossed over into southern Israel Monday and fired on a border security fence, killing one Israeli. The IDF moved tanks and other armed forces to the Israel-Egypt border in response to the attack. Egypt is on the offensive against Israel.

Egypt’s presidential election results lean towards victory for Mohammed Morsi, the radical Islamist Muslim Brotherhood candidate. Thanks at least in part to vocal White House support for the “Arab Spring”, which ushered the Muslim Brotherhood to Egypt’s presidency, Egypt is now likely to be more inclined towards acting offensively towards Israel.

Russia’s General Staff announced Russian Black Sea fleet warships may head for Syria, saying: “The Mediterranean Sea is a zone of the Black Sea Fleet responsibility. Hence, warships may go there in the case it is necessary to protect the Russian logistics base in Tartous, Syria”. Several warships, including large landing ships are ready for deployment. Russia supports Syria, an active agent for radical Ismanists in Iran, who also just happen to support the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Russia exerts new influence in the Middle East while Russia’s President Vladimir Putin plays the White House like a fiddle.

The Euro survived over the weekend after a close call in Greek elections. Early market euphoria on Monday diminished when persistent uncertainty over the situation in Spain, Italy and other eurozone countries resurfaced. Despite Greece’s election result easing fears that the single currency will disintegrate, indications that Greece will run out of money in mid-July stalled initial market optimism. Multiple countries in Europe are now in economic decline after decades of following Socialist policies.

In France, Socialist President Francois Hollande was given a mandate to follow through with his tax-and-spend agenda when France’s Socialists won control of parliament on Sunday. Hollande now has the majority he needs to combat France’s debt crisis by following the very formula that created a debt crisis in France, Greece, Spain, Italy and the rest of the eurozone.

Meanwhile, in an address to the UN sustainability conference in Rio, Great Britain’s Prince Charles issued warnings about climate change. In a pre-recorded speech the Prince declared: “Catastrophic consequences of carrying on with ‘business-as-usual’ are bearing down on us faster than we think, already dragging many millions more people into poverty and dangerously weakening global food, water and energy security for the future”. The Prince then went on to say: “We do not have nearly enough knowledge on which to base the decisions that will be the best for the long term.” So, which is it? Either “we do not have nearly enough knowledge on which to base the decisions that will be the best for the long term” or we know enough to say “many millions more people” have to worry about poverty, food, water and energy security. You can’t have it both ways, “your majesty”.

In America, Al Gore cashed in on the hysteria he and his fellow climate change propagandists created when New York city Comptroller John Liu OK’d a $16.56 million contract with Generation Investment Management, the former vice president’s environmentally friendly investment firm. Generation Investment Management will help manage New York City pension funds to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. Given the track record of green energy capital investments, New York City pension funds are going to be another candidate for a taxpayer funded federal bailout. As with any investment management company, Generation Investment Management will earn their fees no matter what happens to the funds they invest. Apparently it pays to be a global warming alarmist. Perhaps Prince Charles fears the British Monarchy faces pending austerity measures and is just trying to get on the global warming gravy train.

Over the past three and a half years while current world events were taking shape, the White House has been spending money it does not have ala Socialist Europe. All the while enacting another big government socialist “entitlement” program to “nudge” Americans towards European style government dependency.

They championed bureaucratic violations of the free exercise of religion, using the presidential bully pulpit and complicit media lapdogs to convince uninformed voters that it was really a Republican attack on women’s healthcare.

Drones and unmanned airplanes began spying on private property in America’s heartland to ensure American Citizens are complicit with stifling new draconian EPA regulations. An EPA that is now attempting to redefine ditches as bodies of water in order to grant itself additional regulatory power.

Exceeding the Oval Office’s Constitutional and statutory authority to give work visas to a hand picked group of illegal aliens was deemed more important than creating a business friendly, jobs creating economic environment for American Citizens and legal immigrants.

This coming from an administration that pledged in 2008 that it would cut the federal deficit in half by the end of its first term. Instead, the size of the federal government, federal spending and the deficit are all at record high levels. The U.S. national debt has increased by over $5 trillion in less than four years, and after surviving WWI, the Great Depression, WWII, the economic disaster that was Jimmy Carter’s presidency and the global financial crash of 2008, the United States of America’s credit rating has been downgraded.

Insinuating his name into the online biographies of former Presidents and releasing a photo-montage of himself in his “private moments” became priorities, as did attending a record number of fund raising events and playing 100 rounds (and counting) of golf. Never mind that David Axelrod, his 2012 re-election campaign chief, called former President George W. Bush “out of touch” for playing golf while the country struggled with a bad economy.

That’s what his deep-pocketed, out of touch with reality millionaire and billionaire Hollywood elite friends expect from their “cool” friend in the White House. To be truly “cool”, one must be seen as being above it all.

America and the world will be better off once the current Chief Executive of the United States begins spending his days playing golf full time as a former government employee.

God Save the Queen.

David Plouffe: Truth Assassin

June 17, 2012

Congratulations to Mackenzie Weinger and Reid J. Epstien for accurately reporting the news about White House senior adviser David Plouffe’s trip through television’s Sunday morning talk show circuit. It is truly a pity that Plouffe and those in the White House who oversee his talking points script cannot demonstrate the same accuracy.

Plouffe stated that Republicans want “huge tax cuts for the wealthy, more war, more debt.” As is the case with most “progressive” propaganda, this allegation is completely unsubstantiated.

Republicans, be they Rep. Paul Ryan or GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, have said repeatedly and on the record that their plans are to institute tax reform, not to pass “huge tax cuts for the wealthy”.

The stated Republican position of letting Generals on the ground in combat zones determine the pace of troop withdrawals is more responsible than pulling troops out based on partisan, politically driven timetables. Withdrawing security forces from countries before they are prepared to assume the burden on their own increases the likelihood that future conflicts will arise. It also sends a signal to America’s enemies that the United States is in retreat. Using history as the measure, signaling weakness through retreat only invites further aggression.

Saying Republicans want “more debt” is based on the incorrect “progressive” assumption that higher tax rates result in more revenue to the IRS. This false notion has been so thoroughly discredited that even Plouffe’s boss in the White House admitted tax cuts lead to increased IRS collections, and that plans to hike taxes on the rich were a matter of “fairness”, not to increase revenues. Tax reform that eliminates loopholes and subsidies for those in the highest income brackets, along with a lowering of tax rates across the board will stimulate economic growth and lead to more money going to the IRS. This will lead to less debt, not more.

Plouffe continued with the White House’s aggressive misinformation campaign by stating Republicans “want to return us back to the same policies that caused the recession”. This is the biggest lie of the last four years. One that has been oft repeated since Nancy Pelosi, Barney Franks, Chris Dodd and Harry Reid first started spreading it the day Henry Paulson’s ill-advised, disastrous TARP bill passed through Congress. With the exception of Republican support for a bill to repeal Glass Steagall (a bill that enjoyed bipartisan support in the House and Senate before being signed into law by Bill Clinton in 1999) the legislation that created to the housing bubble was “progressive” social engineering in America’s housing market. That is what caused the world’s 2008 economic crash. The housing bubble that led to global fiscal meltdown is smothered in “progressive” fingerprints. From HUD, to the Community Re-investment Act, to “progressive” support of and Bill Clinton’s signature on the repeal of Glass Steagall, to “progressives” cooking the books at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, to “progressive” Senator Dodd and “progressive” Rep. Franks protecting Fannie and Freddie from regulation.

Plouffe said the White House did not declassify national security information recently leaked in news stories. When pressed on the issue of an investigation of the leaks being conducted by two U.S. attorneys, Plouffe stuck to his talking points, repeating “Everyone in our administration is going to cooperate with this investigation”.

Of course, it would be much easier to believe what Plouffe and his boss are saying if they didn’t insist on continuously assassinating the truth in pathological fashion.
